The legacy

Trabzon, Türkiye, 1993. Buford, Georgia, 2026. One factory and one pattern the whole way.

The pattern earned it

The 1911 served American forces for most of a century. It survived because the design is honest: steel where it matters, a trigger that breaks clean, and nothing it does not need. That is the standard every Tisas pistol is built to.

In service

The sidearm of two world wars and everything after. When Tisas builds an A1, it is built to the pattern as issued.

1993

Trabzon, Türkiye

Tisas is founded on the Black Sea coast and builds its first 1911s. Every Tisas pistol since has come out of the same factory.

The work compounds

Three decades of manufacturing expertise: forged 4140 slides and frames, cold hammer forged barrels, milled internals. The catalog grows into one of the largest 1911 programs in the world.

The American market answers

US shooters find out what a forged, milled 1911 can cost when the margins are thin. The Double Stack series brings 17-round capacity to the same trigger.
